more monoprints, this time slightly larger! lots of repeating imagery of sink drains and plugs… really enjoying the grimey, imperfect and unpredictable nature of the ink.
this is one of many examples where i forgot to flip my reference image.. something i am learning is very important.
this was used to map out the previous print, and it shows some of that fabulous texture im talking about.
some onomatopoeia for you..
here is a print, and then its ghost (second print with the same ink). i enjoy both equally for their subtle marks and textures.
this is my favourite by a long shot, even after creating many others since. i just love the cord for the plug and the texture behind created by dabbing a rag onto the ink gently. this print helped me to visualise plans for my degree show and move some ideas into physical sculptural elements.
